Camera Workshop 2015

Are you new to digital photography, or have you had a DSLR for a while but never used any of the functions except ‘Auto’? Would you like to learn more about exposure & light and how to get the most out of your expensive DSLR camera? Even if you would love to take more impressive photos of your kids, then this is the workshop for you!

I am now taking bookings for the final  DLSR For Beginners Workshop for 2015.

The workshop: $240 per person.
Date: Sunday 11th October 2015
Time: 10am – 4pm.
Location: PASH Arts Centre, Suite 301, 20 Allara St Civic, Canberra

Includes morning tea, and detailed take home notes. Please supply your own lunch.

This is a technical course with practical elements for people who avoid reading the instruction manual (like myself) and prefer to learn the ‘hands on’ way. By the end of this one day camera course you will have a better understanding of your camera.  I will give you the confidence to use manual settings so you can take control of every shot you take and create images you can be proud of. I create a friendly and open environment where no question is too simple or too complex. I promise you will have fun!

The course will cover the following:

  • Getting to know your camera
  • ISO, Aperture, Shutter speed
  • Understanding exposure
  • How to tackle difficult light situations
  • Focus
  • Making the right lens choice
  • Composition
  • Practical exercises
  • Follow up home work to consolidate your new knowledge

You can purchase tickets from me directly via email. Students receive a discount rate so please email or call me for more details. I look forward to speaking with you.
